A Magnificent Obsession — BLISS KIRTAN YOGA

Your bhakti should be a magnificent obsession. Devotion and service to Radha and Krishna is our goal. We do that with loving devotion. It should not be any ordinary activity.

Often times in life we have certain desires like having a good job, earning a lot of money, buying a big house or having good progeny. These material desires should not overtake your spiritual desires. Our devotion toward God should stand out as a magnificent obsession, meaning day and night we should be absorbed in achieving that goal. Obsession often has a negative connotation but it doesn’t have to be. We just have to be obsessed to focus and define our goal and then endeavor for it.

Something you can do to keep the fire of desire burning is to read scriptures or other spiritual books written by bonafide devotees on devotion to increase your faith. You can also associate with other devotees to discuss topics about your sweet Lord. Discuss with mentors and Guru to clear your doubts. And above all chant, sing, and dance the glories of the Holy names. All of these things and more will keep you motivated to attain your goal.

In order to get something you must think about it all the time, that is the magnificent obsession…Bhakti to Radha Krishna !!
